This level Up session provides an introduction to the European Commission’s Local Digital Twin (LDT) Toolbox — an open, interoperable set of technical building blocks designed to help cities develop digital twins more efficiently and without technological lock-in.
Dr. Antonio J. Jara, Project Coordinator at Libelium and coordinator of the European LDT Toolbox initiative, will present the European perspective and outline how the toolbox has been developed, structured and verified. The overview is based on the technical framework provided by the European Commission, including the tools for data management, visualisation, simulation, participation, AI model development and identity management.
Claus Popp Larsen, RISE, will present our project’s analysis of the LDT toolbox. He will outline which building blocks (tools) could be relevant for different type of partners in the project, how the project can relate to the LDT toolbox both in the short and long term, and how we may contribute through testing selected components or contributing with new or improved tools.
